critique

The Art work I an critiquing is this ceiling tile drawing done by Jenifer Periquet. The drawing is of a woman crying with flowers on the border. I believe she used permanent marker and pencil to draw it. The drawing has emphasis by using bold lines around the flowers and border and it has contrast from the permanent pen on the white board.

I think the artist was trying to communicate sadness. The reason I believe this is because the lady is crying. In my opinion the artwork is successful because it uses emphasis and contrast and it looks beautiful.

Ceramic dog

I made this when I had some extra time after a project. I like animals and so I wanted to try and make one out of clay. The glaze I used is the Speckled Brown glaze. It took me awhile to get it finished but I'm glad i was able to make it.

The Art class i have is Ceramics . Ceramics class is fun because we can create different things with clay. I have made a few things so far but none of it is glazed yet so there are no pictures. I also go to art club after school on Thursdays. In art club you can try different things, like working with clay,or doing contest work . The reason I enjoy art club is because i can draw or create art along with being able to hang out with my friends.
